How does the lion Cub program and Scouting connect?
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build desirable qualities of character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. The Lion Program offers an age –appropriate introduction to Cub Scouting which fosters the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America in kindergarten aged boys and serves as a bridge to the traditional Cub Scout program.
Learning for Life is a classroom-based subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America. The Lion program had been adapted from the age –appropriate activities of the Learning for Life program. Its activities promote the fundamental ideals of the Boy Scouts of America in the Pack environment rather than in the classroom.
